"We recently purchased a run down, small 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house with the intention to turn it into our dream home. We interviewed a few designers, and ultimately chose to hire Irene. From the very start, she was timely and has actively worked toward getting us into our dream house as soon as possible. After the initial consultation, I provided a laundry list of "must have" and "nice to have" changes for the home. After a couple revisions, our plans now have every single item from both of my lists incorporated into the plans, including expanding to a 4 bed / 3.5 bath, a laundry room, walk in pantry, large master bathroom and walk in closet, and an open concept indoor/outdoor covered deck off the back of our kitchen. I am truly amazed at how she was able to incorporate all these elements into a house, and ensure the rooms still all flow nicely. She also provided a ton of suggestions for ideas which I hadn't even thought to ask for! In addition to designing an amazing home, Irene has helped us through the post-design phase steps, including obtaining structural engineer plans and gaining city approval. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the work Irene has done, and she has truly made this a smoother process than I had initially imagined. I'd highly recommend her to any friends or family, and plan on using her services for any future homes or projects!"
